'Amr ibn Dinar said to Qatadah when he sat to give religious verdicts, "Do you realise the affair that you have fallen into? You have come between Allah and His worshippers and say, 'This is correct and this is not correct.'"

Every Muslim knows that the key to Paradise is the statement, "There is none worthy of worship except Allah." Yet too many Muslims simply rely upon this statement and believe that as long as they have made this statement, nothing will harm them. They think they will be granted Paradise because of this mere verbal statement of the Shahadah.

The Messenger, upon whom be peace, said, "He who says to his brother 'O disbeliever', then it returns upon one of them." He also said, "And he who accuses a believer of kufr (disbelief) then it is like killing him."

Allah has particularized all acts of worship for Him Alone which are defined as ibadah like prostrating, bowing, standing with folded hands, giving charity in the Name of Allah, fasting in His Name and undertaking long journeys to visit His Sacred House by putting on such a clothing that the people may distinguish them as the visitors of ...
