About the Lecturer

As a graduate of the Islamic University, Madinah, Saudi Arabia, Suhayb Hasan gained a Licentiate in Shari'ah and has been actively involved in dealing with Muslims living in the UK in matters requiring advice in light of the Islamic laws.

Since its inception in 1982, he has been part of the Islamic Shari'ah Council in Leyton which has dealt with thousands of cases relating to matrimonial problems as well as child custody, inheritance and similar issues. His opinion is by solicitors and English courts when dealing with matters concerning Muslim clients.

He is a member of the European Council on Research and Fatwa, founded by the Egyptian scholar, Dr. Yusuf Al-Qardawi.
